Describe our food and how we get it. We will start out with a 5 day supply of food and toiletries in our packs from Belden. Our first resupply will be at Old Station, where we pick up a 3 day supply. This is our pack supplies for the first 5 days. Pat will carry the breakfast and dinners. Karen will carry the lunches and the dried veggies for dinners.
This is our resupply at Old Station, a three day supply with 1 extra in case we run long. From here we will head to Burney Falls State Park.
Burney Falls resupply will be picked up at a general store where we can purchase anything we have forgotten or “crave”. I’m thinking we will be wanting fresh veggies and/or fruit by now! Maybe even CHOCOLATE!

Castella is the next resupply point. This is also Castle Crag State Park. If we can find a hotel, we will spend an extra day here. There is campsites for PCT hikers where we can shower and do laundry, but we want a real bed if we can score one. From here we head to Etna and a small bed and breakfast were we will have a room for two nights.
From Alderbrook Manor (Etna) we will resupply again in Siead Valley. This will be our last resupply before reaching our final destination at Callahan’s Lodge, just north of the Oregon boarder. Here we will get a room and wait for our ride home!
All our food and supplies for the full 5 weeks. We will mail the first two from home right before leaving. The last three will be mailed from our support team at regular intervals. Our pack supplies are in dry sacks that can be hung from a tree for bear protection at night.
